Wymer's roots in publishing started with just one rock music magazine (More Black than Purple) back in 1996.
Wymer has since grown into a fully integrated book publisher specializing in music and sports titles. Our first titles were released in the mid 2000's covering rock icons such as Frank Zappa and Steve Hackett. We have a broad portfolio of biographies as well as deluxe photo books, factual titles on everyone from Elton John to Queen, Blue Oyster Cult to Deep Purple, and autobiographies from Hazel O'Connor, Richard Jobson and Phil Pickett.
As part of its expansion Wymer signed cricket commentator Henry Blofeld in 2014 to add to its Sports titles and 2015 saw the release of 2 titles by Henry, including an in depth look at the Kerry Packer era. In 2016 we signed renowned rock writer Martin Popoff for a series of titles over the coming years. In 2017 we also published Patrick Mouratoglou's book The Coach which covers the number 1 Professional Tennis coaches life at the highest level coaching Serena Williams to countless Grand Slam titles.
Always looking to increase its portfolio Wymer continues to expand and this year sees the release of a series of deluxe Photo books on bands such as The Who and Motorhead to new 100 Facts sports books covering West Ham and Leeds Utd. With the number of new releases and a growing list of back titles we feel that Wymer has a mix to suit all music and sport lovers.
