A band created out of nothing at Charterhouse public school in southern England in the Sixties, it was made up of a group of posh, talented kids with no great desire for fame, but who just wanted a chance to write good songs for other people. When no one showed any interest, they managed, with assistance from Charterhouse alumni and record producer, Jonathan King, to record their first LP in 1967. It sold just 649 copies.
